So...this weekend started off with a half-day from school...which was good. It allowed me to take the minions (cats) outside for some "survival training". Started off normally. They ran around, chased each other, had fun...Buster almost caught a bird.
Eventually Luna decided to try and climb a tree. The tree we hang the bird feeder from...She got about 8-10 feet up, and was completely content with her cleverness. Buster saw that and not to be outdone, he scrambled up the tree and was walking around on the same branch as she was...
Then...for reasons unknown to anyone, Buster, Luna, or myself...Buster decided to go up another branch...at which point I cringed...and told my dad to keep an eye on them while I got the ladder. By the time I got back with the ladder, Buster was already 20 feet up into this tree, Luna was on the same branch that she was when I left...and my 8 foot ladder just wasn't going to cut it.
I grabbed Luna out of the tree and handed her to my father, Buster started to make his way down...got about 2 branches down...and then he started to step onto a very thin branch...which bent. he freaked out, grabbed onto a thicker branch, and was doing pretty well actually...until he slipped and was hanging upside down.
about a minute later, despite his struggling, his muscles gave out and he fell the rest of the way down...onto my steel fence...his stomach broke his fall. He darted under the deck, and didn't want to be bothered for a few minutes. I put the ladder away, crawled under the deck, and grabbed him.
He's perfectly fine. The tree adventure didn't keep him from sneaking out a few more times this weekend...although I am hoping he learned his lesson and will stay the fuck out of trees from now on...or at least not go up so damn high...

And jeesh! That was a super long power outage!!!
And so true!! Haha, but I am not usually overly picky with my tattoos, I have soft spots for imperfections really... But I am SUPER picky over who I will let tattoo me and the parlours I go to! Haha, my first tattoo I was really "whatever" about. But now I am more fussy. I still love my first tattoo, it is just koi fish and small, and the detail is awesome!!! I was lucky, if I hadn't had a great artist they totally could have screwed me over!
And that is a good vibe to have! I try to constantly remind myself of that! Sometimes I fail... But over all I think I get by alright!
I am good thanks! Just laying low and working!
So you took your critters outside, on leashes??
OUcH! Omigosh!! Buster is so lucky!!! That is really scary! I am glad that he is okay! Holy frig!!! :S
I take it by the sad face that your friend is a teacher?
You are looking for a job, does that mean that you are graduating soon??? And good luck on your search! I also hate job searching. It is so damn stressful!
I don't think I could watch my cat run around outside on her own without a leash... I am so paranoid. My cats at home are outdoors, but we live in a rural area... And I worry all the time about foxes, and the highway, etc... But Buta is indoors, and if she ever got lost outside I think that I would totally spaz. I am so worried about flying her home too, she is such a chicken. I am scared she will stress out so badly she will die. I worry about my critters a lot..... lol.
