Love
I forgot how wonderful it is to be in love. I feel like I my outlook on life is in a much more positive perspective. She makes me forget about all the negativity out there. When I'm stressed or worried I just think of her and some how everything is better.
I can honestly say I've never felt like this before. I was in love once before with a boy. Although I was with him for 6 1/2 years I was never fully happy. This whole "Love thing" now is totally different. It's very new and quite refreshing. I honestly can say I've never been quite so happy with someone before.
I told her I loved her quite uniquely, thoughtful and romantic! Hell you can only say I love you the first time once! The meaning of a red tulip when given to someone means a declaration of love. Seemed appropriate. So I searched for one....and I searched for one. Mind you this was mothers day, not exactly the best day to find a specific flower! After going to 6, yes 6, different places I found one at a grocery store. But it was a potted plant and how romantic would a potted plant be? So I asked the Store Mangager if she could cut it for me. After looking at me puzzled she did it and wrapped it in a bouquet.
I gave her the flowers when I first saw her but didn't tell them what they were for. I knew she thought it was strange that I was giving her flowers for no reason, especially since shes said before that shes rather impartial to receiving flowers. Later in the night she asked what was in my back pocket, it was the card that goes on the little plastic sticky thing that she didn't notice had no card on it. I told her to take it out and read it. It said what the meaning of a red tulip was and
"Dea, I love you with all of my heart, mind, body and soul!"
She didn't say it back. Which actually made me quite relieved. See we both know how each other feels and how we've felt. We also both knew that things have to happen on our own time when we feel comfortable with them. This makes things soooo much more positive when you act on your own thoughts and feelings and not out of obligation. I know that I've loved her for a while now but I had to wait till the time was right. Love is a scary thing and I care for her way too much to just throw that word around. Besides protecting my own feelings from hurt I also want to protect hers. The time was finally right now and her day will come as well. I'm patient and I sure don't plan on leaving her side anytime soon.
