Hell, it's just dating, right? Does your department have any kind of official policy regarding employee fraternization? If not, ask the dispatcher to ride out with you again, then stop at Sonic and buy her lunch. Low pressure enough?

Is there a policy that covers fraternization with the eccentric lady with the defective paint?

Sittin on the back porch with a Guinness Extra Stout and the hound and listening to Deadbolt. I really need to learn to relax more often.

Tomorrow I'm going to start working on the flathead. Hopefully the problem will turn out to just be a blown head gasket due to warped heads. That can be fixed with a quick trip to the machine shop.

6: i think the drive-thru wedding is really the best way to go ... except, goshdarnit, i want a karmic return on all of the wedding gifts i've ever had to buy!

7: what stupid people do you have to deal with all day? doesn't sound too bad if you get to sleep until 11! yes ... books are great ... good.clean.fun.

I made the coolest mess in the world last night.

I came through the door with an arm load of stuff and dropped a 3 liter Diet Coke bottle on the (fortunately stained concrete) floor. It landed just right that it blew the top off the thing. The bottle emptied it's contents in literally a fraction of a second, propelling the bottle into the couch....

Diet Coke seems to have greater explosive potential than regular Coke, I don't know why. My mom used to drink the diet stuff all the time, and I can remember several times when the cab of the truck was covered in the stuff...
