Bel Air came home yesterday and seems to be doing well. She's a bit anemic. I've been making her take it easy. She had a big bandage that the people at the vet's office cut out hearts and put them all over it for her. She also has one of those cone collars and she hates it. Fortunately, she hasn't shown any interest in messing with her sutures, so I haven't been making her wear it while I'm around to watch her.
I talked to the head vet and worked everything out. She gave me a very honest evaluation of what the problems may have been that have lead up to this. They cut me a big break on my bill. I'm still very happy with them and wouldn't want to take her anywhere else. It's very important in life to have a mechanic and a vet that you trust. I'm sure I'll be posting pics of Bel Air and her boo boo soon.
