So here's my cop story of the day:
I'm on my way home when a collision gets dispatched that's on my way. I put myself en rout and arrive about 2 min later. When I get there, there is a little guy laying on the side of the road all tied up with rope. Next to him is a cowboy and a girl standing there.
So, I walk up "hey guys what's going on" The guy all tied up is too drunk to respond.
The cowboy then explains that apparently this guy got pissed at the girl for calling 911 when she was driving by and saw the wreck. The cowboy explains that he was on his way back from the rodeo that's in town this week when he sees the little guy chasing the girl and throwing punches at her. (don't worry. She's fine. He's drunk and slow and only managed to hit her arm) So the cowboy jumps out of his pickup, kicks the little guy in the stomach knocking him to the ground. Then he just got his trusty rope and hog tied him till I got there.
That's a first for me. It's one of the things I love about this job-something new every day.
In other less interesting but much more exciting news as far as I'm concerned: The title came for my "new" rat rod today. It's still not physically here, but I officially own it now!
