I have been thinking quite a bit on what to do with my future, right now a lot of things have come up and I have a lot of research to do. Ultimately I will be getting out of the Military at some point whether that be tomorrow or 15 years from now, so after that then what?
I have had a lot of thoughts on hobbies I would be interested in picking up, like photography maybe or even DJ which I have thought about for years. I have taken some school in Massage Therapy so there is always that to finish up with but then there is being a teacher thats a possibility. I have had a lot more time then your average person lol. I have had about 12 years to think about it and I am still pretty clueless.
There is one thing that my boss told me when I was about to put Staff Sergeant on, "A lot more is lost because of indecision then decision." That holds true if you think about it, and that 12 years I have had of indecision I could have been doing something else. Granted in the military its hard to find classes in massage therapy so I would have to wait till I get out for that but still I could be knocking out more classes. It is time to stop floundering around and decide on a course of action and prepare to take that step whether it be while I am still in the military or after.
I do know I want to be a pilot but to do it for myself or a job is another thing I have to figure out, luckily my father in law is a certified flight instructor so I have that on my side.
Sorry for venting again even though no one really reads my blogs lol, but I just wanted to get my thoughts out and I have found this helps even if no one reads it hahahahaha. Have a good day everyone, time to hit the gym!
This gentlemen right here is one of the most motivational people I have meet. He is the 5th Chief Master Sergeant of the Air Force which there is only one of and is a very important position. Obviously retired now as we are on the 15th CMSAF. Robert Gaylor, truly a fascinating person and a great story teller.
