Hello humans! Happy Monday 🙌🏻 How was your weekend?
I really hope you enjoyed and relaxed as well. Winter is coming in Buenos Aires so I’m finally enjoying the weather of this city.
I personally had a wonderful one! And I wanted to start writing about my journey in transitioning from being vegetarian to vegan.
First of all, I became a veggie 12 years ago. It’s been a long time! And I think it’s time to make the level up switch.
To be honest, my main problem is quitting cheese. I’m ADDICTED to it! Haha. Like blue cheese, which is my favorite one. Besides that I don’t have many problems changing from animal based products to plant based. Like milk. I always preferred the almond one.
I’ve started looking for places/restaurants completely vegan. Or at least having a few vegan options.
Yesterday I went to have dinner on a beautiful one in my city called Mudra. A plant based restaurant 💘 the energy was incredible! Every detail of that place was magical. At least for me. I’m obsessed with the architecture. Here’s a picture of me after dinner and some of the place with not so many spoilers.
For sharing we ordered an option called “Tartar de Melena”: a Crispy potato with roasted lion's mane tartare, capers, red onion and aquafaba emulsion. microbuds and edible flowers.
Then for my entree I’ve ordered a Tomato Risotto, it had Arborio rice base with tomato paste, roasted pholiota, cashew mozzarella, almond parmesan, basil leaves and olive oil. I can’t even describe how delicious it was! I’m a risotto lover btw.
My final score it’s a solid 9. I don’t put a 10 since I don’t believe in perfection lol. Before I left, we ordered some coffees. The perfect ending!
So if you ever come to Buenos Aires and wanna try a very nice vegan gourmet place you must go to Mudra 💘
I hope you enjoyed this little blog! Will continue to give you my progress switching to veganism.
Always remember, be the change you want to see in the world. 🖤 xoxo
