no post yesterday...because i spent a good deal of the evening in the emergency room
i guess i'm allergic to brazilnuts!
odd huh?!? i must have eaten them before, i dunno
as soon as i ate my mouth started tingling, then my lips got lumpy, followed by a tightening of my throat... started having a hard time breathing.... i wiated about 15 minutes before going to the hospital just iso i didnt embarress myself for nothing
coughed and snotted all over myself
, eyes watering all over my shirt...
took me 10 minutes to drive to bryn mawr hospital... i honestly wasnt sure id make it
....i'm not being overly dramatic here... its fucking scary thinking your e going to sufficate while driving into a tree
vision gets blurry, felt like i had a baseball jammed in my throat, ANAPHYLACTIC SHOCK
and when i finally got there they checked me in immediately (as soon as they saw my insurance card).... and jabbed be with some epinephrine and gave me 3 predisones.... they werent sure the shot was going to kick in in time so they had one of those throat tubes right next to it ...im thinking please no
but in the end the shot worked quickly and felt good pretty soon afterwords
now i am fine but have to take steroids for a couple days and have to keep some epipens around....tssk
