according to my senator santorum:

It is startling that those in the media and academia appear most disturbed by this aberrant behavior, since they have zealously promoted moral relativism by sanctioning "private" moral matters such as alternative lifestyles. Priests, like all of us, are affected by culture. When the culture is sick, every element in it becomes infected. While it is no excuse for this...

going to buy a motorcycle
so i can chase her down the street
never seen nothing like her
she nearly knocked me off my feet

it's going to be a long cold winter
but i feel so warm
when i'm in her
when i'm in her arms

she goes off like a shot-gun
she's got me...

I love my mother
I love my father
I love my sisters too

I bought this guitar
To pledge my love
To pledge my love to you

I am a rock
Bottom riser
And I owe it all to you

I saw a gold ring
At the bottom of the river
Glinting
At my foolish heart
Oh my foolish heart
Had to go diving
Diving...

Yeah, I agree, snappenin'. The drumming was the best thing of the show. I found myself getting distracted by the heat up there in the balcony though. I think that if I was as into them as I was 2 months ago I would have just powered thru it. Maybe if I had been downstairs I would have felt it more.

Anyway, Bloc Party rocked. I don't mean to downplay it at all. And what a fucking RAD coincidence that you were sitting next to me. Weirdness! But coolness. Whats the next big show for you? I think we talked a little about being disappointed about the summer lineup. But if you and I keep each other tuned in, i'm sure that we can find some decent shows in Philly. Deal?

Nah, I didn't make it down to see Bloc Party. i was hoping for a last minute hook up for tickets that didn't come through.

I've heard other recordings of them live and while I agree they aren't the tightest band out, they still rock. Maybe I have different expectations when I see a band, but I'm not disappointed if they aren't perfect, as long as they bring a certain amount of energy to the stage. i have no doubts that Bloc Party did that at the very least. Their music just breathes.
