When Did Everything Go Right?
When I wasn't looking. But there's no denying it; something's shifted. The barometer's needle is now pointing to "GOOD STUFF ABOUNDS." (Yeah, my barometer has 'good stuff abounds' on it. See, it's printed there, right next to the engraving of the sailing ship. There.)
There are more spontaneous outings, more little grins, more hints that summer will finally arrive to London. The inhalation of novels continues. (Amis' Night Train and Coupland's Generation X were among this week's casualties.) I've started writing little songs again, and recording them too. I've been going out more, seeing people I don't usually see, and have seen some amazing concerts lately (thank you Tanja). Work has been really challenging lately, in the good way.
Aspasia is even coming to visit, all the way from our hometown across the ocean in the arctic hinterlands. In three weeks. Epic.
Point, barometer, point.
(Stay well, kids.)

You're welcome.
This entry was all kinds of good to read. I'm glad for you, it's about time that it all started going thumbs up rather than thumbs down. Keep up the good work.
P.S.: songs, goddamit! songs! *attempts to kick self*
