okay yay for it being riduclously awesome outside.

i was thinking about what to write here, to update on my life, and then i realized there wasn't one thing i was going to write about that didn't include something about my projects. something to ponder.

i'm pscyhed bc my friend trina baked her famous oatmeal raisin cookies for my bday. they're ludicrous. i hope to see my twin sister next week in nyc--although it's a bit kerazzy out there, i do dig it. also, good diners.

random theory: the slightly higher cancer rates in the pacific northwest are due to the 1 mile high elevation, 1 mile of some of the most critical atmosphereic shielding from the hazardous cosmic radiation (this hasn't been scientifically proven, so no real fear, just something i'd like to see researched). i read somewhere that airline workers have higher cancer rates than most people, and that a flight from Tokyo to NYC is the equivalent of 30 chest xrays---i haven't read the actual science papers on this, but neither would surprise me.

ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!! ARRR!!!

I have that book. I also have another one called Virus X. OK, so I have LOTS of books on viruses and microbes. Though the one that drove me to want to study Microbiology was "The Hot Zone" by Richard Preston. I love that book. This stuff is really my passion. and soon the college out here will be a 4 yr school and I'll be able to finally finish up for my bachelors!

Yeah, toxins would probably be a bad idea.

From what I saw of my 1 1/2 weeks back in Boston, is that for the most part the summer this year isn't too bad. there were definitely a couple days that I would have baked withought A/C but it was more for the humidity than anything.
