Finally found myself an apartment near the law school. Everything else in the area for rent/lease was a either a pit or way too expensive. The last place on my list turned out to be the place I chose. It is on the third floor of a newly remodeled house from the 1850's. Good sized main room, big bedroom, nice kitchen. About 3 miles from the law school, and a 5 minute walk into the art shops and galleries downtown, a block away from a Portuguese bakery (they had the best bread I've ever tasted), and a block away from a decent bar. Sure, it is bordering the fucking yuppie area, but I can deal with that. All this for $700 a month + utilities.
Pics to come, since I have to be there this weekend to get the water and gas (gas stoves) turned on. Only problem is electric heat, but I prefer the cold anyway.

I can only really enjoy walking in the rain when it's pretty hot out. I get cold way too easily.
