This post will be too long. I have a job search going on, but not very well and who cares about that? What's more important is that I want to talk about at least two movies and my geekiness. And perhaps More? Who knows?
First off, I saw the new Halloween. Awesome. I liked Halloween. I like Rob Zombie. I saw this in HD. Sweet. It is really fun to compare it to both every Halloween movie and also to every Rob Zombie movie. Rob Zombie is big into the modern randomness and brutality of evil and violence shtick. Halloween is firmly rooted in the old school slasher morality. One of the best things about it is how it balances the two. All of the people who have sex or are mean die. Many of the people who are just nice die. I can't imagine a better perversion/balance etc.
Also I watched Eternal Sunshine of a Spotless Mind again. This is one of my favorites. An ex-girl friend gave it to me even though she had different opinions on whether it was happy or not. A random person at college stole my copy. That is sad.
What is neat is that people have different opinions than I do? Does it have a happy ending? Is "Ok." meant to mean "ok" we'll try or "ok" this won't work? Is it meant to mean that we can move beyond problems and forget them or that they're doomed to be repeated?
I go to Magic League tomorrow. I'm a super geek. I don't care. My deck is set up to dominate my opponents tomorrow.
Have a nice day out there folks,
JDF
