the Gift of Gab signed my zig-zags....awwwwh yeah....
i had a dream about drinking crystal, not sure what that's about...i've never had it before and i'm not a rapper.
zoloft supresses the production of certain chemicals in the brain and has a half-life of 26 hours. the chemicals are suppressed over time by the drug, taking a matter of weeks, or a week, or so, lowering the levels and whatnot, and waiting for the chemicals (which have already been created and introduced to the brain) themselves to reach their half-life, or to be all used up.
if a dosage is missed, and the drug is allowed to reach its hald-life and fully exit the body, the brain starts to produce those chemicals which it could not before even faster than it did before (although in this case its not much faster...barely noticable). To fully resupress the creation of these chemicals requires a build of up zoloft in the system, again...kind of like how the drug takes 4 to 6 weeks to start working in the first place.
so...
26 hours without a dose will cause a reset of the cycle, the brain will take about a week to build up those chemicals again, the zoloft will take another 2 to 3 weeks to kick back in...
this explains why i've been freaking out lately...'cause i missed a dose in portland.
FUCK....i was so affraid this would happen...it's only been like 2 months i've been on it, but i already can't go back, it's too hard. i'm gonna have to take this shit for the rest of my life.
