Okay so I got a really cool job I think. I shall explain.....
Imagine a HUGE field with all types of different terrain and mock cities and villages. (over 30) We have units in all the military branches come here and train to fight against us. Well, with those units are some guys that work here at Ft Irwin, they go around with them and kinda of show them where they are supposed to go and what they are supposed to do and then they grade the training unit on their performance. Those guys are called OC's (Observer Controllers). And the whole mess of those OC's and training unit are called BLUE Force. They "play" fight against an opposing force called OPFOR. (These guys are also Army and Iraqi civilians, amputee's (sp) that volunteer for realism, even spouses) Now the OPFOR go out into these cities and stuff and and wait for the OPFOR OC's (which is my job) and when I get there I position them in places that hopefully they can catch the BLUE Force off guard and give them a run for their money This is all kind of like laser tag. But with some realism thrown in. I will post some pictures from this rotation of training after its done. Basically.... I am responsible for the OPFOR in my area and make sure they are doing the right thing at the right time. And I get all this awesome Pyro. hehehe. Oh and my own truck (brand new)
Today is my first day out in "The BOX" (i guess thats what they call their training area)
Time to go help the bad guys !!
P.S. AND !!!! I am getting promoted
