-- The Lady of the Lake, her arm clad in the purest shimmering samite, held aloft Excalibur from the bosom of the water signifying by Divine Providence that I, Arthur, was to carry Excalibur. That is why I am your king!

"Did you enjoy the drive-in, son?"

"Yeah, it was good."

"How did the movie end?"

"I don't remember."

"Attaboy."

Man do I miss my girlfriend.

Not only am I lonely as hell, but I really, really need to get laid. Oh well, there's only another week and a half until I see her.

Let the countdown begin!

I finally got my copy of the Vertigo Tarot. A store here in town was selling it for 20% off.

Got a copy of Dave McKean's brilliant "Cages", as well.

The figures whitened in his mind unsolved: displeased, he let them fade.

The illustrations were woodcuts, executed with that crude haste to see the finished product that marks the amateur. True pornography is given us by vastly patient professionals.
dia:
*clapping*

I consider that a compliment, because I have been most painstaking about the results of the set I am working on! Every day I sit here and am immured in Photoshop, like a painter, flinging colours everywhere...

Except I wish I were actually painting.

I thought of you when I read it (It's from Thomas Pynchon's "The Crying of Lot 49").

Have you not another name but this?
Are you The Artist, and he The Writer
and she
The Filing Clerk?
Is this all that you are?

What means have you to live
but by your name,
and what name
have you but this?

What is your role,
when all the roles are but one role,
when all the roles
are a multiplicity of faces,
a...

No! I am not Prince Hamlet, nor was meant to be;
Am an attendant lord, one that will do
To swell a progress, start a scene or two,
Advise the prince; no doubt, an easy tool,
Deferential, glad to be of use,
Politic, cautious, and meticulous;
Full of high sentence, but a bit obtuse;
At times, indeed, almost ridiculous -
Almost, at times, the Fool.

Do you remember when we met
That's the day I knew you were my pet
I want to tell you how much I love you

Come with me, my love
To the sea, the sea of love
I want to tell you how much I love you

Come with me, to the sea

Do you remember when we met
That's the day I knew you...

I promised I'd talk about the Writer's Festival, and I will. Just not right now.

I think I should just talk about how lucky I feel to be here right now. There are, last time I checked, 72 lovely women here sharing themselves with me. Their bodies, their minds, and no matter how large or small it is to them, a part of their lives....

i read the whole silly thing, and i did think you kept your cool rather well, as compared to times i've seen you get agitated in the past...i actually thought that, as in, before you suggested it.

you, dia, just shouldn't worry about them. if they don't like the idea of that kind of stuff here, you technically already have a pretty fool safe plan for that...don't you?
realise the majority of the users on this site, the people that actually pay and have made it popular, don't read the boards or choose not to post, so the small percentage that do shouldn't bother you.

tonuge in lap? hehe, you'd have too much fun with that.

fish sauce....uh, hi, figured i should say atleast something to you 'cause this is your journal and all...
biggrin
fishsauce:
Feel free to talk amongst yourselves, I don't mind. smile

Actually, Dia, I think that's the most tactful I've seen you in that kind of situation.
