Watching the final stage of the Tour of Ireland. Thought it was short. Guess they had to drop two days due to finances. I did enjoy the race last year but thought it was a bit dangerous with the tight roads. This last stage is ridiculous. The weather is horrible. Half the racers have dropped out. Lance just rode out through a barrier just before the St Patrick's Hill climb. I thought the layout in Cork was poorly done. Riders come around a corner to face crowd barriers way out in the middle of the road. Cars parked every where on the side of the streets. Surprised I saw no crashes. Perhaps this was due to half the riders dropping out.
Anyway, congrats to Russell Downing on the overall win on his birthday.
My car needs a new clutch. Not as bad as I was thinking but still $700. A new clutch is not a huge surprise. Oh well, the cost of owning a car.
I really need to quit smoking. Stopped for a few months at the beginning of the year. Not a new year's resolution. They banned smoking in places so it worked well. But unfortunately, most of my friends smoke so I've slowly gotten back into it. May have to disappear again so I can quit.

Wow, Tour of Ireland sounds intense.... I haven't watched any racing since TdF and I miss it.... although my work productivity seems to have gone up since then.... bizarre
