Been watching the Vuelta a Espana. Another race I've never watched. Universal Sports has been a nice new source of cycling. And you can watch it all from their website. They started in Netherlands and went through Belgium. Stage 4 on Tuesday was in pouring rain at points. So many crashes. One guy hit the back of a tanker truck on the side of the...

Watching the final stage of the Tour of Ireland. Thought it was short. Guess they had to drop two days due to finances. I did enjoy the race last year but thought it was a bit dangerous with the tight roads. This last stage is ridiculous. The weather is horrible. Half the racers have dropped out. Lance just rode out through a barrier just before...

Car is messing up. Absolutely no power, not sure if its the transmission or something else. Suck. I'm certain it'll be at least $1000. I can do without the car but it is needed for others.

Went to visit a friend tonight. She just got back from Washington since her dad passed early this week. She's in a bit of a funky mood. Understood. Been...

I miss him dearly and think of him often. He was a good man and I am glad our children were able to develope a strong relationship with him because of his frequent and long visits. I wish he had NEVER gone back to Louisiana. I love that ole' guy. He was such an amazing light in my life. Definately the man I consider to be my father. I told him that often. My uncle was more of a maternal influence. Anyway- he's happy now. You are loved. Ya big sweetheart.

Really loving the way you've been acting. So considerate and sweet. I like it when we get along like the friends that I know we are. You are another amazing light in my life and I'm happy that I have you close. Our children are amazing, but it's no wonder with a dad like you. I thank my lucky stars every single day that you are such a loving and doting father to your kids. I think that even when we don't get along as well as we could be getting along that you are still one of the coolest people I know. I'm so lucky to be married to such a completely cool d00d. Thanks for not being like some husbands. You are seriously cool as all get out.

I love that you've been embracing your essence and riding your bike as much as you have been. You are like a mad man. I know that it is what keeps you happy, so I hope you keep riding as much as you possibly can. It also helps with your mood. Makes ya less cranky and more cuddly. Did you ever get your rain gear? Other than your fenders? You should get your rain gear- the rain is coming.

I love you. Truly, Madly, Deeply.

Yesterday I did the Hulaman Half-Ironman triathlon relay. I was on for the bike portion. 53 miles. Faired pretty well. It was pretty windy and the hill at 40 miles sucked. But I finished well, for me. Never felt too tired. Kept myself well hydrated. Pleased with results. My gearing was off. The rear derailleur was way off. Wouldn't even move to the largest cog...

Congrats on your triathlon time, sounds like it was mostly good (apart from the gearing)!

Yes...this winter it is going in for an overhaul when the shop runs their special. Had the bars retaped on Saturday and the mechanic said I needed a new chain and likely a new cassette due to the wear. I was looking around for a new cassette anyway with a different ratio and the chain is not a big deal.

Today was just an overall blah day. Didn't feel well today, mentally and physically. I accomplished very little at work. Rode home in the rain. That was actually refreshing. First rain we've had in months. Flatted two blocks from home. whatever

Sunday was fun. Did the Bridge Pedal with several people that hadn't done it before. Met new people which is usually a good thing. Hard...

Had a decent day. Took the day off from work. Met some friends for lunch (sushi) and then went for a beer. Others eventually joined us and had more beer. Some friends are up from Arizona and it is always good to see them. Happy.

So I was leaving work today and they were setting up a race again. Saw them there two weeks ago at the end of it. Just thought it was part of a bike event they were having at the stadium that weekend. It was an Oregon Bicycle Racing Association event. Checked the website and apparently they've been having a crit there. Next week is the...

I tried sending my MMS from phone and it doesn't really work. If I choose an email address from my messaging app, it auto switches to MMS despite no pics or anything. I have a Google phone. Guess I'll just have to use the browser. I know the pics I've tried to send have been too large. Will try again. Really, why so difficult. Should...

My activity is increasing. Wonder how long it will last. Last post was 1 1/2 years ago. Found a new group that I joined though. Brewpub. And will actually start posting from my phone. We'll see how this goes. Of course, no one reads this crap anyway. I am seriously lacking in the Friends department. Just have not interacted on here in the past.

Had...

Wow. Only six months since my last post. I just talked to people directly. I've just been on here lately because I've been on studying for the election. Some people believe the people have had enough. I just don't see it. It will still be another polarizing election and we'll be no better than before. I REALLY DON'T want Giulianni or Hillary. I may be...
