Conversation I had last night at the all ages punk rock show:
Young Girl: Happy Birthday are you really 19?
Me: No. I'm 36.
(shrieking loudly)
Young Girl: You're the same age as my Mom!
(Me sighs loudly to herself and smiles weakly)
Young Girl: Happy Birthday are you really 19?
Me: No. I'm 36.

here's the thing, don't you like yourself better now than when you were 19? everybody is so uptight about getting older (not that you are, i'm just saying) but would anybody really trade the wisdome they've gained to be 19 again? i sure as hell wouldn't, i was a mess at 19. i love my life soooooooo much more now.

oh, the running, i have a long theory about why i chose to run a marathon right when michelle got preggers. it's an ancient ritual i unknowingly signed on for. i'll explain some other time, woo!
