Anime Expo is a bit more than a week away, and I'm getting stoked. My buddy and I have been planning this since earlier this year, with hotels an scheduling and such, and it's getting solid. Before last year, going to any convention meant going on a full-fledged whim, and just staying to wander around and not buy anything meant that the $30-40 bucks spent just for a pass that day was wasted. That isn't the case this year. I'm actually doing this whole "convention" thing right.

And with an Expo like Anime comes the cosplay. I'll be there for three days, the first two of which will be spent in a Shihakusho from Bleach.

The 3rd day's gonna go something like this:


Heiwajima Shizuo. Easy to do, and for those that watch Durarara!!, I will be rocking a street sign. I'm gonna try to get one made out of PVC pipe by this weekend. But there is one glaring flaw in this plan, which has to do with the hair. Long and short of it is that I don't do wigs. Can't. The things just don't work for me, and I'd rather be called a black Heiwajima Shizuo than a Dennis Rodman version of Heiwajima Shizuo.

But, other than that I'm down. I'll be back with pics after the Expo, so...peace 'till then.
