It's been a while.....
Well, tonight was a learning experience. Went on a date with a rather nice lady I'd met via the internet. Had a fantastic evening, no awkward pauses, talking about family and slightly deep stuff.......then, like a thunderbolt, I go and ruin it. 'So, I've had a really good evening, I quite fancy you, how do you feel?'...............
Bad move. I still maintain I only asked her as I thought we'd got on well enough, but she still put me in my place and said, maybe fairly enough, that this was a sure fire way of putting most people off. And there was I, thinking it was good to be honest. Well Lidiot, looks like honestly is not always the best policy
So, shot down, but she still insisted she'd had, and was continuing to have, a great evening. Wasn't quite the same from then. I'll be interested, and will inform, if she actually does want to meet for another drink.
How is it possible, with a small admission of truth, and a potential flattering one at that, to destroy an evening? Well, I guess she just didn't feel the same. It wasn't even like I had grown totally besotted with her, I just thought I'd had a very nice evening, having a very comfortable and easy conversation with someone. Who I thought was quite good looking. I mean, she had several of my pics, seen my myspace site, so it wasn't like she was going into this blind. I'm hoping she agreed to meet because she liked the look of me too.
Ah, balls to it all. If she can't take it, then maybe she's not the woman for me.
Fecking dating sucks ass. At least I like my own company, looks like that's all I'll be getting for a while
Nope, strike that. I had a really lovely evening with a cute lady, so it's not all bad. I think I'll just get on with my job and listening to Tool, till something exciting happens.
Sorry I've been away for a while, miss pouring my heart out to you guys. Please comment, I like opinions. Or advice, could do with some. I'm plenty good at giving, be fun to see if I can act on any given.
Stay classy San Diego,

Cheers for checking up on me, I'm doing ok but had a flood in my flat so had to spend lots of time sorting that out. I've had to move everything out of my bedroom into the living room so I have to move a whole tonne of stuff just to get to the computer. Pain in the arse!
