Just to set the record straight on something in the first journal entry. I don't have a problem with petite women. Someone like "FLUX" for example is damn beautiful. At the other end of the spectrum is Dana Owens aka Queen Latifah. Drop Dead Gorgeous! I guess my problem is with society and the press. The press & the government are bed fellows. They always say that they are acting in our best interests. Because they think they know what we want & how we feel about certain issues. When in fact they don't. If they wanted to know, all they have to do is ask us. But, I guess that would take time away from their dinner parties. You know, the ones we pay them for. A few years ago, I read that a congressmen earned over $300,000 a year. When asked if would take a pay cut. He replied "I won't be able to continue with the lifestyle that I lead If I take a cut in pay. I have to through parties and be able to meet people of important status in order to keep the lines of communication." I, you, we are paying their salaries for this crap. I have a hard enough time trying to organize a friggen suprise birthday party. I haven't read any newspapers or watched any nightly news since 9/11. My heart turned black that day. The nightly tv news has been an instant replay every night since then. The only things that change are the number of americans that have been lost. One last thing. I have a message to Prez Bush. It's more of a reminder. Just because you have the power to go to war, doesn't mean you have to. Fighting terrorism is one thing. Knowing when to come home is another. A true test of strength is holding back a punch and not throwing it. I love this country. I understand freedom has it's price. It has in the past and it will in the future. The people of Iraq are adults. Let them take care of it. We can step back and keep an eye out. Wholly shit did I just say all of that?!?
"I haven't read any newspapers or watched any nightly news since 9/11. My heart turned black that day." I am the same exact way... i can't handle the news anymore. i am happier without knowing all of the world's brutality, which is improperly announced anyway. i still have never watched Bush on tv for more than 5 words of him speaking before i either changed the channel, shut the tv off, or left the room. i refuse. he is not my president.
