At this point in my life, it's not hard to tell what sorta cliche niche I fit into is. Its obviously nerd, for a variety of reasons. Though, for some reason, the nerd look seems to coincide with the hipster look, which has also taken from me my flannel shirts. I need those for cutting firewood damnit!
That's besides the point though, I've been a nerd my entire life. In first grade, Hell, even before school started I was one. I realize this looking back on it, at five years of age you're biggest concern is going outside to dick around with rocks. I was a rather bookish young lad, always checking out star wars books and whatnot and asking to go to the library to get new books. By the second grade, I was reading at a sixth grade level. All sorts of books to, I remember reading The Time Machine by H.G Wells and Frankenstein in second grade. I probably didn't get any of the subtext to them back then, in fact I remember thinking Frankenstein should've raised the monster as a son.
Star Wars was my first love, as it is for many little kids, but I actually took the time to find those old books in the library and read them. Books with Palpatine's son and a quest to claim Darth Vader's glove. My vocabulary increased and earned me the scorn of my peers, it sucks to be smart and chubby in school.
In life, well, everything I say for the most part is a literature or film allusion. I love my table top games, and have a tattoo from Warhammer 40K and a Mandalorian Mythosaur Skull. All I can say is own your nerdiness young padawans, own it.
