I grew up on a farm, so setting up and repairing wire fences is no big thing to me. It became routine, the slight cuts you'd get all over your hands and arms from working with what was once referred to as 'devil's wire'. I thought barbed wire was bad enough to work with, dangerous enough when you stretch a fence, then I got a job working with concertina wire.
Concertina wire is a bitch to work with, it comes in big...bushels I guess you'd call them. The gloves you need to handle them are worthless, so you and a buddy grab one side of each spool of wire and bounce it out. Needless to say, my hands and arms are all cut to hell right now, and I just want to wash them out and bandage them up.
