I took a CPR class. The instructors were shit. Everyone in class agreed. We all complained. We all passed, eventually.
Come today we find out the instructors also complained about us to the administrators. Oh is that so? Well you have 10 people who say otherwise. They said I, me, complained about being in class for 5 hours. WTF? I'm in class for 5 hours every day, why would i care now?
The class was shit. They acted as if we were all CPR professionals when this was the first and only class and prep for the class we have had ever. I had to ask several times to have them repeat things so i could take some kind of notes (badly). I did manage to pass first time out, but only by the skin of my teeth. grrr. (that's me gritting said teeth)
Last week we took a test. Teach gave us the wrong test. Again, i passed, but not because i studied the correct material. I got a C. Teach admitted wrongdoing and gave everyone in class 15 points so that nobody failed and i got back my A average. Happy! Took the correct test today and got what? Another A. Happy!
Weeked, you say? What happened, you say? We went to Rehoboth Beach, DE. Land of many an old person and many gay folks. I mean that in both senses of the word gay. People in RB, DE are fucking nice! Like, just nice people. Courteous drivers even! Yes, the homosexual gay population is pretty big and very open. Doesn't bother me in the slightest (as if it should?). To me it just means i am subjected to very polite men in nice, pressed, neat clothing and a bunch of gals i'd much rather drink a bunch of beers with than most heterosexuals. What i'm getting at is that i really enjoy the town and it's occupants. We visited Dogfish Head's brewpub and i got to drink..alone. My wife needs to up and have this baby because drinking alone sucks.
This brings me to the wife. First night there = wife with abdominal pains. Hurts to walk. Pains, etc. = not good. 2am we're off to the nearest ER at Beebe hospital or something like that. Super nice staff. Very nice doctor. In and out in 3hrs. (short by NJ ER standards) Back to the hotel by 5am. Result: UTI and needed some antibiotics. Easy and done. She's doing much better and is ecstatic over the one piece jumper that is a bear suit for our little sweet potato. (that's he/she's size about now..sweet potato)
Dogfish Head is a classy bunch of brewers. My favorite beer this weekend was their stout called "Death Metal". It's an imperial stout coffee and vanilla bean. It was sooooooo smooth! Also of note is their peanut butter infused Blue Hen Vodka which they distill and infuse on site. It was amazing stuff, truly. I also brought home another bottle of their own Jin that is distilled with pineapple mint and juniper. It's the best gin i've ever had. Delicious. Their honey rum was good as well.
Comments?!
