9. i am updating from work. this makes me feel only slightly dirty. y'know...dirty in the good way.
8. i'm going to philly this weekend to see soiraile because the library (my humble place of employment) is closed on monday and i thought i'd take advantage of the 3 day weekend.
7. i'm trying to work my schedule in july so that i can make it to east coast camping for the second year in a row. i really hope i can make it happen--there are quite a few people from this crazy site who i miss quite a bit, and i'd love to meet some new ones as well.
6. book recommendation: demian by herman hesse. it's just...good. you should read it.
5. i'm going home for a wedding next weekend, which should be interesting. i'm a brides maid and the girl getting marries is marrying a pastor. her family knows me and my appearance, but his probably has no idea. i asked her if she wanted me to take out my piercings and try to cover up my tattoos a bit, but she told me she loves me just the way i am and that she wants me there just the way i am. i thought that was uber sweet.
4. i've recently been doing some reading about 'the unknown rebel' (connected to the Tiananmen Square protests of 1989). it's interesting stuff. if you're bored, you should look into it.
3. my summer is going well so far. aside from my lack of internet at home (which only really means i have to walk a bit to go somewhere with wireless), i can't really complain.
2. i played darts for pretty much the first time a few nights ago. and i wasn't nearly as horrible as i thought i'd be. pool, on the other hand...let me just say that i'm not a pool player.
1. i finally got my first paycheck. it's only for one week rather than two, so it's not a heck of a lot of money--but it's definitely nicer than having nothing in my bank account.
