The scars are from an "unknown illness" that caused my intestines to become knotted, causing necrosis of the tissue. So they did exploratory surgery and cut out the nasty parts and I was hooked up to machines and tubes for 3 months. After 3 months they figured my insides were healed so they put me back together, more or less. Stapled the intestine and bandaged the incision until it healed.
They still don't know what caused it..
