Pretty odd week for me, but then every October (and December) something unexpected happens.
So now it's my legiment, right leg. My only guess is that I strained it on the previous shoot, not tearing it but feels close (it is the calf muscle, and I woke up with the thing today). Not much of a problem until I had to take the subway - the stairs were not grinding along so had to walk them, up and down.
Agony. That's how I'd describe it. So I fucked off Universal (something most people should do in any case), and called my doctor, who I suspect is royally sick of me after the flu vaccine bit ( always paranoid when it comes to doctors).
He did not think it was serious, which is good, not near the knee, but certainly affecting walking. X rays in order. Since by then it was creeping up to my lower back, I said YUP and will be to an Atheletic Accident Doctor of his choice tomorrow.
So, all the all, pretty awkward = gotta start in again with cabs (in LA!) to stock groceries, and rely on some friends to spot me in general.
The upshoot is now I have time over the next four days to take care of computer things, like SuicideGirl chums, bills, EMail, that sorta stuff. Downside: Halloween and much many plans coming up. Shit.
Anybody care to make a stab at with the strain is? I'm assured I do not have surgery to look forward to (a massive phobia for me is hospitals). That is, what it might be called?
And no, Not Asshat Pull!
Must have been meant to be: paid off Blue Shield 3 months ago on a whim when the money was cooling in my hand. Lucky bastard, I.
