've been to the doc twice this week.
Sunday my roommate came home and had a really bad cough. She proceeded to get way worse and stay in bed until Monday afternoon. I avoided her like the plague for the majority of this time. I stayed in studio most of the night by myself until i developed a light cough.
"Oh no..."
I slept for 11 and a half hours to try to get rid of it. After my philosophy class on tuesday morning, I started to feel crappy. My dad and I went out to lunch and I started to feel worse. Around 4 oclock, mandi asked me to drive her to class. All of my muscles felt like they were ripping apart! I made the executive decision to go to the doctor.
At the doctor's office, she told me i was fine and didn't have a fever or anything and told me to go out and wait for her to print off some papers. in the 10 minutes i waited I started to feel REALLY bad. She came out to give me the papers, and immediately asked me to come back into her office. My temperature had jumped up 2 degrees and was climbing. She prescribed me a cough suppressant and I went on my way.
My temp plateaued at 101.4 for a little while (my normal body temp is around 97) and my cough got worse. I spent the night trying to sleep in a puddle of my own sweat and made the decision to stay home. My fever broke around 11 am and I cleaned my room /had a friend over after I started to feel a little better.
Today, I woke up miserable and went to my philosophy class again. I think there were only a few minutes where I wasn't coughing. I climbed back into bed when I got home. My god, My joints were ripping apart. My fever went back up to 101.
Eventually, I got a hold of a doctor at the clinic i go to and after talking to me for a little bit and hearing me cough, she was like "damn, you have brochitis... we need to quarantine you and get you on antibiotics."
Long story short: I have bronchitis and I'm quarantined until 7 pm tomorrow night. Plus I'll be missing studio AGAIN! What a way to start the semester.
