I feel like making money today. And quitting my job. It'd be nice to do both.
I complain a lot about not liking my job, and a lot of other people do too. The thing is, it's not that I dislike work. I love work. I'm a workaholic. What I don't like is working on other peoples' terms.
Work I Do Like
- Where I get to keep 100% of the sales price
- Where I can do it from home
- Where the customer isn't a dick
- Where I can take the money and run
- Where I never have to talk to the customer once the contract is closed
- Where there is a lot of money for very litttle work
Work I Don't Like
- Where I get hassled to finish something
- Where something's broken I can't figure out
- Where the customer grossly underpaid
- Where I realize I'm going to have to redo gads of stuff
- Where the customer is a dick
- Where I HAVE to come in
I used to freelance, but when you don't have many industry connections (like, through working a daytime job) its hard to find clients. Business is fun.
