i'm soooooo tired!!! my goodness life has been exhausting!
so the rooftop party was cool. a little tame compared to previous parties, but fun nonetheless...
i took friday off work to clean my place for all the wedding activities that took place at my house over the weekend -- bachelor party and rehearsal dinner (bbq).
my friend anthony had his wedding on sunday at Flat File Gallery off of lake street. i was upgraded from usher to groomsman because one of the groomsman couldn't make it. i got a nifty tie out of it. then there were a couple different receptions to enjoy. it was pretty cool. i had a fun time and anthony is the first of my close college friends got married.
although, funny story, i did knock over a bridesmaid at the reception. the wedding party were all being introduced into the reception at this loft space -- my roommate was doing the intros like a boxing announcer so everyone was running in to various definitions of who and what they were. i didn't hear my intro because anthony was telling me to dunk, which i didn't understand -- until i saw the basketball goal on the wall in the loft. so, according to anthony's wish, i ran in and grabbed the rim....and landed on a bridesmaid.
it was very AFV, but apparantly that particular bridesmaid had fallen several times over the weekend under her own accord so it was just a continuation of a running joke. but i still felt like a complete jerk when it happened and she told me i could make it up to her by dancing with her. which i did...but i still felt like a jerk.
then i worked for 12 hours on monday.
then tuesday -- pay attention thurmis -- my place of employment had a 'manager's get together' at the white sox game. we got a suite that looked down the first base line. it was pretty cool. free food, booze on the trolley to the game and back. i don't like baseball, but i had a fun time.
and now i'm trying to recover from all of that.
oh yeah...i also got cast in a play. you'll have to come see me when it opens. i'll be playing the banjolele.
love your brothers and sisters.
