Saturday morning cartoons have long been sub-par. So, in lieu of cartoons, my roommates and I, for a long time now, have been making breakfast and listening to the NPR quiz show Wait, Wait...Don't Tell Me (10am, 91.5FM for you Chicagoans).
Now, due to the glory of DVD box sets and the love of our parents we have the first seasons of Thundercats and He-Man and the Masters of the Universe on DVD. So, officially, Sunday mornings will be our cartoon mornings.
And a sidenote: I know Peter Sagal (host of said radio quiz show) loosely. When I first met him I told him that he is now the equivelant to my Saturday morning cartoons. His response:
"Now, that's a kind of immortality"
I know, Peter. I know.
