This weekend was Brgerfest in Regensburg. The name is misleading for English people because it sounds like a Cheeseburger festival or something, but Brger means "citizen" in German. So yeah, basically the entire downtown area of Regensburg was closed to all cars and bikes and was turned into a gigantic pedestrian party. There were stages set up on almost every block and there was some sort of musical act going on, anything from ska to country to jazz to wannabe hip-hoppers. There were lots of organized acts and lots of streetartists and buskers, and a TON of people. There were beer tents set up everywhere, and lots of small booths set up for people to sell their wares. This was going on since friday afternoon and lasted until sunday night. Of course the batteries in my camera were already dead before we even left home so I didn't get a single fucking picture of the entire weekend! GRRRRR I need a battery charger...
I don't think these people have heard of Duracell or Energizer cause all they ever sell in stores are cheapass batteries which don't last 5 minutes in a camera.
My weekend was pretty much full of drunken debauchery and the occasional thunderstorm which made everybody run for cover. We had three thunderstorms on saturday alone. I was drunk and/or hungover for the majority of the weekend.
