EQCA is currently working with educators, firefighters, teachers, health-care providers and workers to oppose Props. 73, 74, 75, 76 and 77. These measures, if approved by voters on Nov. 8, would reverse substantial gains in our rights.
"The Governor said 'no' to us, now say 'no' to him," said Executive Director Geoffrey Kors of Equality California. "We need to send him a powerful message and say no to his dangerous and poorly conceived propositions."
I am a volunteer for EQCA am recruiting volunteers in San Luis Obispo and Santa Barbara counties. Even if you aren't in those counties or if you can't help with the special election we still need people to help with the 2006 election. The conservatives are working towards a constitutional amendment to ban same-sex marriage forever. And they are also working to undo all of the domestic partner rights that we have worked so hard for.
If these issues are important to you and you'd like to do something to help please contact me either through this thread, my journal, or contact tab whatever works for you.
