Today is the first day of fall.
My favorite day of the year. It's not supposed to get above 73 today so I am making something nice and hot for dinner. Im thinking either a really good fall veggie soup of home made Mac and Cheese. And a yummy apple dessert type thing... smile

Ian and I have become fans of TrueBlood. Its a great show....

TrueBlood is a vampire show right?

I don't have HBO yet (I will when I move in a month), but what is the plot of the show?

Are you a fast food fan? or not really?

If you are not, just skip it.

The thing I like about Sonic is that their burgers seem to be more like "real" burgers, rather than say McDonald's where you just feel like its processed meat. It's marketed as a drive-in, so it doesn't have exactly the same feel as most chains do.

You can also get 1,600 different drink combinations there. eeek

I think I also like it more because I can't have it. So each time you do its always spectacular.

Was that better or worse than talking to normal callers on those lines though? It would be kind of depressing, I don't think I'd want to talk about things like that all day.

It would have to get to you if you took call after call dealing with sad situations.

Also, MON THE HOOPS.
deunan:
No, I do reservations and customer service for an airline. Yay call centers. But free flights are a great benefit.

strongbhoy:

I'm doing the nanny thing this week. I'll be in Mamaroneck until Saturday around 3pm.
I have a feeling that its going to be really hard for the kids tomorrow when they realize that I am not going to let them sit in the living room and watch TV all day. This could get interesting.
strongbhoy:
Just finished watching all the interviews.

He's the only player this team has bought that could be a first team player and for that I'm glad to have him back.

He knows he made a mistake (and did about right after he actually moved) and he didn't pull a Liam Miller or sulk like Petrov, so I'll welcome him back.

He just doesn't feel like a new signing and that takes off some of the allure.

I did find an interesting bit in the E-Tims rumor mill last night that makes a ton of sense:

First off we have news of interesting developments / disagreements / arguments in the soap opera that is the good ol CP boardroom. Our pish-stained Heilan Jessie mole informs us the Sharpsuited person had tied up two deals for a new centre back....not the chap just signed...........and a left back......definitely the chap we haven't signed.......but was informed to cancel the deals within hours of the Huns losing to the Jambos Reserve team. After week upon week spent in negotiation after negotiation with agent after agent and litre upon litre of white Americano coffee's drunk in numerous airport departure lounges.......the news was met with a just a hint of dismay, some might even say extreme anger, from the SSM and the club manager when the information was related back to him. It appears certain key decision makers within the board took it upon themselves to block any 'significant' spend until certain high earning individuals were removed from the club....a major change to the previously agreed approach. The logic we hear was primarily, although some, not us, may say exclusively, based upon key members of the board assuming the Huns would be spending hee-haw after their European financial disaster and with our current squad and a few minor tweaks here and there it would be a relative dawdle to 4 titles in succession.

Surprisingly for some of the suits Sir Moonbeams threw an all-in shout when it was least expected causing major rattling of golf balls in a bag on a pretty location on the Irish coast. Cue many phone calls and an immediate release of 5m....which was contained in the 'original' budget.....48 hours after we signed the Lovely chap..............a player who wasn't anywhere near our list of preferred options until the budget was suddenly cut. So what does this mean? Hell we don't know as we only make it up but according to our drunken pal a certain Eastern European centre back would be in hoops right now instead of an English Championship one and our preferred left back would not be cup tied for the Champions League group games. Unfortunately, there are some extremely unhappy senior members of staff within the soap opera that is the East End Che Guevara football club.

I had a feeling this was the attitude, and I just hope now it doesn't completely fuck over the club.

Our favorite team is still short a few players - Still need a CB, still need an LB and still need a Striker. The CL draw is Thursday as well btw.

I am sitting in my bedroom listening to Meatloaf.
I love him. His voice makes me so happy. I want to just curl up in his lap when I hear him sing. I really do think his voice is one of the very best of the past thirty years. Also, he is a vegetarian, which is a fact that is made more awesome because of...

I just made my first home made marinara sauce. It's super yummy, though I was a tad heavy handed with pepper. Ian and I are making baked ziti tonight. Hence the sauce.
strongbhoy:
Ziti is fantastic.

So is Ziti pizza.

Don't know why this is upsetting you so much other than the obvious reasons. That guy in the plaid suit playing the flute is pretty awesome though. I think he might be my dad.

I wish he was my dad. That would be cool beans. I love your dancing Kermit.

Today I am going to see The Dark Knight with a bunch of friends.
I, like most of the modern world, am really looking forward to this movie. To the point where we are arriving an hour and a half early to the theater so that we can get seats together. Unlike the last time we all went together and saw Indy.
I have this...

You should hear some of the theaters I used to go to in Detroit.

Talking, commentary for the whole film.

I remember we saw Lord of the Rings: Return of the King, and when people thought it ended everyone was just talking for the last 30 minutes.

I have this habit of getting a new book and reading through it as quickly as I can. Because of this I am in the middle of two different series of books, and still waiting on the next installments of three others.
Reading quickly is both a gift and a curse. It also doesn't help that I will pretty much read anything I can get...
