OK. HERE'S THE DEAL.
I don't go on "vacation" very often. Mainly because I don't want my stuff interrupted. Unlike my train of thought. Does anyone else type their blog in Word to make sure that they spell stuff right?
Anyway, so I went on "vacation".
To Albuquerque, New Mex. From Santa Barbara, Cali. To 30 degrees. From 70 degrees. To snow. From SUN.
KILL ME.
I went to see my parents. This is always scary. I usually, big surprise, leave them angry and with "cause for concern". This time they used 2 words I haven't heard in so long I don't remember.
Healthy and Helpful. What?? Hello??
I didn't realize that I was going to ABQ give my Dad a break from taking care of my Mom, who just had knee replacement surgery. I was supposed to take a relaxing break from work to get ready for a new, more challenging position. NOT! I was 24/7 nurse-maid. I did not sign up for that, but I guess I can't bitch too much because at the end of the week my Mom parted with some GREEN. I do like that color. Especially when the presidents wear it.
I must say that my parents lack of technological advancement: i.e. NO INTERNET, almost drove me over the edge. I realized that I was cut off from the planet without it. My phone saved the day with a signal strength of almost 1, I was lucky to be able to download more games to play. My pointer finger, also good for other things, can only do Tetris for so long. My jPod is difficult to use when I'm supposed to be having an intelligent conversation at the same time. I can play games and talk. Unfortunately, SOME people think that playing games and talking isn't possible. Luckily, I have the talent.
Back to the lack of communication. I don't recommend that you try this at home. Or anywhere for that matter. Take your devices with you. Supplement your electronic repertoire with items you may not currently own. Don't expect to be able to get access when you get to where you are going I.e. DON'T LEAVE HOME WITHOUT IT
I MISSED YOU ALL. Dial-up on Ritalin couldn't even get me connected to SG. I'm so glad to be back!!!
Next time I take a LAP TOP, both kinds!!!!
Love ya,
P.S. Now that I've been back for a couple hours I am realizing how much I missed this place and everyone here!! Please do not send me to NO-Internet land ever again!!!!
