hmmm...here again. I didn't renew my membership several years back and haven't passed this way since, but yesterday I got a notice that some kind someone renewed for me. I suspect that no-one did and that it is simply a ploy from SG to get me to bolster their membership. No matter, I forgot how cool this place was! Glad to be back.
I spend way too much time on my computers. I just got a new mouse for my Mac and the scroll wheel is pretty stiff. Now my right index finger is killing me.
Strange how something so little could have such a big effect. (typical actually)
Nothing really new here, just getting a couple of new tunes ready to bring to market.

Polite and happy most definitely counts. I would love to share music w/you. Your CD for mine.
I really appreciate the kindness. Broadcasting vibes, it's a cumulative thing. I've come to see one can't rest on one's laurels when life seems to choke you. One must keep on with the sweetness and the light (you know that Lush track, "Sweetness and Light?). 'Cause otherwise, life keeps on passing you and yer miserable self right over.
Dido sang "I'm No Angel." None exist. (Except Joni Mitchell, and a couple others.)
Let me know if old school (snail mail) works for you, as that would have to be the case w/me.

I like the Russians a lot, especially Shostakovich. He's probably my favorite. My brother has gotten me into minimalism a bit, too, like Prt especially. But generally I like anything that sounds interesting, like interesting intervals and rhythms, stuff that you have to think about a little. Things like Mozart get old really fast.

Working on a new animation project (been a while since my last one...For Better or for Worse). Looking forward to this one as it is small-time and done by two guys who are really into it. When they show me the clips in Flash, they do the sfx and the differant character voices vocally. I like people who get so into something they don't realize...

"When I Fell Off a Roof in Revelstoke, BC" sounds like an old Canadian country song.

Yeah, they worked for me that way too, and sort of kept me sane for a while, but i don't want to need them to stay sane...

I love the poem.
I just bought a book of Sappho's poetry (or rather fragments thereof) by Anne Carson. Because so much of it is translated from destroyed papyri with chunks of verse missing, they tend to read like modern verse or Kerouac's American Haikus. As I am of an astronomical bent this one (wholly intact) is my favorite so far;

oh, and I just got my first insult regarding my music the other day....heh....after 12 years of doing this shit I got told "lady, not to be a dick, but youre fucking terrible".
So....if you listen to my music and you think I am fucking terrible, you have one person in agreement.
But really, I don't mind CONSTRUCTIVE criticism. I just can't figure out how to be "not fucking terrible". Hahaha.
