This is the final installment of the day of the dead posts for this year so I'm gonna post a few more pictures I took this thursday during my unplanned and so very awesome excursion. These are altars from around the country that were on display here in Puebla. One in particular was dedicated to Frida Kahlo. I don't like her work, but I know many people do so I took some pictures of it. Another altar was dedicated to the mining workers that perished in an explosion, and there were many more.
I'm also gonna upload some pictures of Puebla. Not much, basically just the Cathedral and stuff...
Soon to come, pictures of the Festival del Dia de Muertos that took place on thursday as well. There were some BMX dudes, a couple of bands, some guys hanging from the skin of their knees & back, graffiti exhibitions, and I think I'm getting the tattoo done sometime next week.
Enough. On to the pictures.
EDIT: Sorry about the poor quality and the awkward presentation of these... The first was because the files were too big. The second I can't explain.
And there I go again (sorry can't help it) I just LOVE those skulls. One of them in the 8th pictures even has rollers under a net on her head. That just cracks me up hahaha Do they try and make the skulls resemble the person who died?
You're amazing, you know that?
