I can't sleep and I start a new job this morning.. It's not nerves but I don't think it's excitement either.
It's a retouchers position with an amazing photography company which I have to leave nameless I have to do two weeks of training at thier London head office before starting work at thier new Peterborough studio.
I wanted to get a secure source of income to pay the bills whilst I carry on freelancing.
These past 7 days I've been fighting a case of tonsillitus (we're talking tonsils like golf balls with spots of puss the size of 5p coins) luckily I hit the drs the day after I realised what it was, they put me on some beefy anibiotics and now apart from some swelling and little soreness I'm pretty much back to full health.
If I hadn't made such a recovery thanks to these antibiotics then I would've had to delay/cancel this training and I was really hoping to avoid that!
I've been lucky I normally seem to catch a horrific case of it once a year, normally it completely knocks me off my feet for two weeks and I can't eat and barely drink.
This time it's been less than a week, It started off as manflu then the throat kicked in as did a tempriture, I still kept my appitite however (even though it was a bitch to swollow lol)
So So glad this has pretty much sorted itself out in time.
To rub salt into the wound though, I've now got a painfull mouth ulcer dammit.
So the next two weeks of my life are going to consist of getting up at 6.30am to catch a train to london and getting back home for about 8.30pm.. it should be a great time but daaaamn when you're freelancing you're not used to such long ass days! although once I'm at the Peterborough studio then I'll only have to bus in, non of this train/tube malarky.
I'll add to this tonight or sometime to let you know how my first day goes.
Fer.
***** Edit *****
Three days in and I'm loving it, the people are great (I'm sorry they wont be in my studio) and the works good But I am finding myself looking at peoples clothing and thinking how hard/easy it'd be to cut out with a pen tool on a white background ...

Hooray for the new job! Sucks about the tonsillitis though. I'm curious as to why you're so susceptible? Xx
