Well I'm back home, for a while. I had a good time with the family, and now I'm ready to just relax at home again.
I had a hell-ride yesterday though. Drove from Madison to Wausau and dropped off my mom at home. Then me and my dad went up to Houghton to pick up the rest of my stuff from my old place. Well on the way up there the roads went to crap, I tried passing a really slow car, and I swerved out of control and went in the ditch. I had to wait an hour for a tow truck, and that cost me $100. No damage to the Jeep though, and we are both OK, so I guess it's not that bad.
Then we get up to Houghton and find that my drive way (which is more like a parking lot), has not been plowed and the entrance has snow piled four-feet from the plow. It took us a half hour to get in the driveway, and another hour to get unstuck. After that we did as any sane person would do...we got drunk.
While at the bar, me and my dad played pool against this family that was up for the holidays. The sisters were hott, and we were playing against one of the sisters and her boyfriend. Every shot I took the sisters would come over and tried to distract me. I shot my best game while two girls grabbed my balls. Now that's talent.
Several of my good friends were up at school, so I was able to see all the people I probably wont' see again for a while. It's kind of sad, but then again I'm turning a new page in my life.
I got some good presents, and I gave some good presents. I gave my 2 1/2 year old niece the cutest little book called "Bobby Bear". It has drawings of animals, and it has textures like fur, so she can touch it while she reads. She is the cutest little thing, but you have to watch out when she hands you an unwrapped piece of candy; you don't know where it's been. I got the whole Lord of The Rings set, so I figure I'll have a marathon some time this week. I also got some practical things that I'll need for living on my own, as well as some books.
I hope every one's holidays are going good. New years eve is just around the corner, so that will be fun. It will give me one last chance to get really drunk with my friends from back home. It's weird to think that I've been alive for almost a quarter of a century already. I don't feel old, but I guess I'm not really that old.
I have a job interview on Wednesday for International Truck in Chicago. I'd be doing bitch work for a while before I got to do some "real" engineering, but at least it's something. I'm still really hopping for the job in Detroit as that one will give me the most training, and a lot more opportunity to go some where with my degree. I paid a $100K for my education, so I might as well get my moneys worth out of it.
Well that's all for now. I should probably get some sleep.

Good luck with your interview!
