When I was a child I had two “imaginary” friends named Susie and Pika. They were tiny and could shape shift. I specifically remember them turning into spiders 🙂
A while back, a neighbor let me borrow her fairy folklore book that stated, small children have an easier time seeing into other dimensions. And children often befriend fairies, and their parents just assume they have imaginary friends. The book went on to describe fairies as tiny beings that can shape shift 🤯💓
I’ve also had dreams, as an adult, about fairies. In the last one, they were trying to choke me haha but anyways, I’m a believer 🧚💓💓💓

We put them in our landscaping, but ours are not as kinky as your dream ones😉

I just sent a book to my publisher about faeries (the scary kind, not the peter pan type! 😉) Your childhood experience is very interesting. Maybe the adult dream is them being sad you don't hang out anymore? Or maybe they just know you're into that! 😜 You never know, right?
