Today I began what only promises to be an excruciatingly busy school year. I am enrolling in a total of 6 classes, spending 8 weeks student teaching in a special education classroom, and taking 8 exams in a last ditch attempt to secure a full-time teaching position for next school year! By August of 2008, I will be certified to teach Special Education K-8 and Middle School General Science 5-8, along with my current degree in which I am certified in general education 1-6. The exams I am taking will enable me to obtain certification in Massachusetts and Connecticut, as well as my home state of Rhode Island.
Oh, yeah...and I am still working approximately 12 hours a week at Sylvan and subbing 5 days until January. In January, I will be student teaching (without pay)....ugh. I am going to owe my parents money for quite some time.
And, I hope to be getting engaged, and possibly planning my own wedding for next fall. Lots to do!
Go SOX!!!
