Like many of my chunksome, furry brethren, I have a love/hate relationship with my chin. Most of the time, I forget he's even there and we coexist in harmony. Then there are those other times. Those times he likes to bring some friends over (mostly after week long pink frosted animal cracker binges); those times he drops open to give me enough room to fit my foot in my mouth.
Then sometimes he decides to plant himself firmly on the edge of my bathtub.
Yes. That thing that only happens to the elderly happened to me.
I slipped and cracked my jaw in the shower.
While I may not be a hideous Joseph Merrick man-beast, I did have to endure a catscan, MRI, and a shit-ton of x-rays with a steady haze of a headache and the uncertain, uneasy feeling that I might have a fracture or concussion. The pain, they tell me, will go away in two to four weeks. Luckily the pain isn't quite as bad as that first day, and this bottle of ibuprofin should make sure that I lose the heroic jawline and go back to plain old me.
