Harlem Globetrotters took on the NY Nationals at GM Place today. The final score was 89 to 51 for the Globetrotters.

They sold Globetrotter basketballs for thirty dollars. Glossy ones were fifty dollars.

Man do I wish I was in on that racket.

Wow you remembered enough to put together a journal entry!

Better than me [golf clap]

Actually after we left I went across the street to visit a friend and about an hour later as I was leaving she doused me in her perfume, proclaiming that I reeked like booze. Then a cabbie asked for five bucks up front (the full fair from gastown to my place). I was choked so I got out and gave him my middle finger (drunk remember). He wasn't happy. We argued cause I thought it was bullshit that they asked for cash upfront, that's never happened to me before. Then the bartender from Sonar gave the cabbie shit for me... hahaha.

I totally don't remember the walk home. On a possitive note though, I woke up smelling purdy! biggrin

The Meet and Greet was excellent. We had a very good turn out lots of newbies to let into SGBC and some old favorites too. We even had someone from Saskatoon out. SASKATOON.

Freakchef, Angelvanilla, and I met up at Doolins at Eight like we were supposed to and found Pica_Pica and Lavinia already waiting for us. They thought it started at seven....

Woo hoo. Good way to spend a Wed night. Ha ha about the Cecil. That was a running joke with the guys in the band I played with. I think they must have cleaned it up or something.
If your drinking Coronas why would you need to sign a waiver for the foam? Seems kind of silly to me. wink

Did someone offer a ride in this evening? I don't have a car or no anyone with one, but I hope you come.

Duuude! I hope it's sharp! Get us a picture of you stabbing something!

Mock not the bokken grasshoper. Miyamoto Musashi, argubaly one of the greatest swordsmen of fuedal Japan, used a bokken to win a large percentage of his duels. He found using a real shinken not to be a true test of his skill. I can also attest to how painful getting hit with one of those things can be. I had a bruise on my neck for a week from what was basically a light tap.
By the way, feel free to mock me. I pulled several back muscles at Aikido on Thursday during warm up (WTF?) Follow that up with 2 hrs of class and you've got me not being able to lie on my back. Time for shiatsu I think.

I'd say that was fun but....

Space in Pauls Case is problematic. The Settings and locations do not exist in themselves but as projections of Pauls values. They are ranked in a hierarchy from the most rarified aesthetic realm to the mundane. Before the end of the piece Paul identifies his Araby, the Mediterranean. However as the action never occurs there it exists only as his idea of it as a...

yeah, that chapter is totally the epitome of what I fully believe in. My guess is that it is going to spark some controversy, the ideas portrayed are so dead on in my opinion, but they totally go against the "hollywood ideal" that most of us westerners strive for.
Actually, it's already encountered some resistance from Cassiopeia, but considering she quoted a line from the first paragraph, I don't think she really read the whole thing.

Admittedly, it's a long and tough read, but man... it's the hard hitting truth.
