Well I have done a sudden shift in my goals and life asperations and have decided that I am a journalist. In addition to having two novels under way, a book on Tarot cards, an article on magick, I am now going to try and write news. Because of having too many projects on the go it looks like I won't be completing the nanowrimo 50 thousand words but it has got me a good start on a second novel.

I have written my first real article, "singing for home" and it got put up on Barbelith:Globalwatch I plan to continue to write them and hopefully get some published in print like my cities newpapers.

My interest in journalism I think almost entirely stems from the comic Transmetropolitan and I have decided to read some books of journalism as well. So I am reading Hunter S. Thompson's Hell's Angels and next Fear and Loathing: On the Campaign Trail '72. I am also looking for movies with a good protrayl of Journalism. I watched the Bonfire of the Vanities, I think, and it was good with Bruce Willis as the reporter.
