Robert Anton Wilson is running for Governor of the Republic of California
For the first time in my life I wish I was an American citizen.
Also cool: I got the 1971 novel, The Invisibles. Whoo!
Scene 15 Home:Astral Projection.
It felt like Kats whole being was pulled through the pupil of her third eye. The world was fuzzy. The colours all had a bluish cast to them. Suddenly Kat realized what the bumpy shape on her beanbag chair was. It was her body. It looked like she had just fallen asleep. Kat realized what this meant; it had worked! She leaned forward to examine her own face. Her hair was a flatter paler purple than she would have liked and it was noticeably blond at her roots. Here eyes were moving under her eyelids more spasmodically then they would during dreams. Her nose piercing today was a stainless steel stud. On her chin to the left of her lips was some small acne which she had covered up with some makeup.
Kat felt powerful pressure like a large man was pushing the back of her head while a vacuum attempted to suck her into her own face. It was a force of will and what seemed like bodily strength to pull herself away from her body. Kat chastised herself; she should have remembered the warnings about that.
Kat walked over to her bookshelf. She tried to pick up a book but her hand passed through it and became indistinct and almost lost its opacity. Her eyes widened and her moth went slack for a moment. She walked to the door of her room. I was odd, she reflected, she didnt feel the ground beneath her. She paused for a second, took a deep breath and stepped through the door. The door slid through her as if someone was walking on her grave. She was out in the hallway and although the lights were off Kat could see. It was strangely illumined by the hazy sourceless blue light. She walked into her parents bedroom. There was a book open by her mothers side of the bed Kat walked silently over to the book and tried to pick it up. Realizing that it wouldnt work she bent over to read the open page instead. She tried to memorize the first sentence and the page number so she could confirm them later. She could just read the words by the diffuse bluish light.
