In 2018, I really just sat on my lil' ass like a lazy larvae with no motivation, no goals, which brought a lot of culpability, feeling of being worthless and fueled my depression. But I wanna make 2019 a good and productive year! My main goal is to improve my art, as I want to go back to school in 2020 to become a 3D modeler (if modeler is even a thing?) in the video game industry, and good news, my artistic spark is back and strong! Video games have always been a huge passion for me, my safe place, and working in this environment would really be thriving for me. I'm so happy to have my inspiration again and a huge thanks to my best friend who helps me with themes and inspire me even more. It feels good to feel like I have control again, discover and improve new or older techniques and mediums to prepare for my future.
I'd also love to be more active on SG and release more sets, but it's really hard to find an SG photographer in Montreal, that also fits my style. If you're out there, hit me up!
Anyways, I don't really have any other goals I can think of right now, so I'll just end it here and leave some of my recent drawings below, if you wanna check 'em out! I'm not super good yet but I've seen improvements and that's what's important!
I wish you all the best for 2019 and have a happy new year, may it be a healthy, prosperous and happy one!
PS: Holy shit!! So much love and support on my new set Samhain, almost 1900 likes, I can't believe it! It means so much to me, I'm so thankful for all the love I received from all of you and also pagans in the SG community, very epic! 😋 -by the way, hit me up, I need more pagan friends haha-! ♥ Thank you all so much from the bottom of my heart, maybe we could make this set go FP, which would be so awesome and would make me very proud of what @blackfrog and I have created! -Thank you so much for your awesome photographer skills and also for being a lovely human being that makes people laugh and be comfortable around you, which makes modeling much easier and enjoyable!-. It would surely start off this year very pretty well! 😂 A little sneak peak if you haven't seen it yet:
And here are the drawings, still need lots of practice, but we never really stop learning and improving, do we? I'll get there, I know I can. Some day I'll create art for Magic the Gathering, splash art for video games, and awesome 3D stuff with perfect textures! I don't play MTG but my bestfriend -and roomate- plays Magic Arena, and I always get really inspired by the beauty of their cards.
The image quality is bad, pictures were taken with my phone in a bad lightning, I think they're a bit better in real life but here ! :
*I call it Falling. ☺️ ↓
*Inspired by the Saprolings from Magic the Gathering. ↓
*Just practicing profiles, hair, and trying to make clean pen lines and pen shading. ↓
A mysterious girl in a river with a lantern 😋 I'm planning on adding watercolor and maybe some acrylic to this one, especially to set the decor and ambiance, cause right now it's not really obvious that she's in a river surrounded by lush nature. 🤣 ↓
If you made it here, thanks for checking out my art and reading the whole blog hehe 😜! Feel free to leave some feedback, critics or advice, I want to improve and any help is welcome!
With love, Fennek.
