i had almost forgot some guy looked at buying my road bike. He called tonight asking if it was still for sale, and would i consider lowering the price. Yes, i still have it...yes, i'm still (grudgingly) willing to part with it...no, i'm not going to lower the price.
I'm meeting him tomorrow to sell my road bike.
I've had the roadie for just a little over a year now, ridden 800 miles on it, probably all but 100 miles of that since february. I had my first major wreck on that bike, (didn't christen, but) broke in my first pair of clipless pedals and shoes on that bike...damn. First flat (somehow I managed to get through all my childhood without a flat that i remember...made up for it in car tires.
) was on the road bike.
Basically, I reintroduced myself to bicycling on this bike. (although first broken bone goes to the mountain bike
, alas, also up for sale. too small.)
I rode a few miles after the phone call in the moonlight.
I really need the money so I can get a bike more suited to what i do...but damn, this sucks.
It's saying goodbye to a good friend that I'll probably never see again.
