My father taught me how to play billiards all my life. It is the biggest part of who I am, I spend 3 to 4 days playing and practicing. One day I hope to become a professional billiards player.
For the past 3 years I've been playing billiards at a competitive level. I've played on 25 different teams, over 250 leagued matches, all with the outcome of winning a trip to Vegas! Early this year I entered a singles 8 ball qualifier, which I was extremely scared to do because I didnt have my team behind me and it was all on me but I made it to regionals!
Early in October I attended regionals, 2 days worth of matches. On my first day I lost and went to the losers bracket. On the second day I was determined that I hadnt traveled 3 hours away from home for nothing. I beat 3 opponents mercilessly and made it back to the winners bracket. I beat 2 more opponents and made it to finals, only to face the women who had originally knocked me out in the first round. I didn't even give her a shot and beat her 3 to 0!
Finally, 3 years of experience and I won my all expenses paid trip to Vegas in May. I will be playing in Vegas for 15,000. Wish me luck! Heres the plaque that I got for winning!
