Well...certain departures, though inevitable, are always a bit of a down note....yet the knowledge of a four day reunion complete with roller coasters
ROLLER COASTERS
combined with tonight's "study session" being one of the most fun nights I've had with school folks in quite a long while, I'm feeling pretty fine. Not only did I get a lot of work done, I got to hang out with a bunch of my good friends for a big, lunacy-filled chunk of time, which I haven't done in a while. Plus, I'm getting to go see the Hitchhiker's Guide movie again tomorrow night with a few of said friends, plus my former roommate whom I love dearly but have seen disappointingly little of lately. I really ought to go to bed, so there will be more to come on the adventures of the past week and a half.
For now I leave you with this email interaction with my mother (who recently sent me a care package containing three boxes of girl scout cookies (!!!!!!), one of which had been opened, had several cookies removed, and was then scotchtaped shut again, and one bag of microwave popcorn which had expired in 2003):
